Key Benefits
Before starting solo flying the new pilot has flown most of the tasks required to safely complete solo flights (including landing approaches) a number of times with a variety of conditions. To meet the requirements of the ANO tandem flying MUST involve training and also requires club membership, one of the questions we are frequently asked is if flights can be done to raise funds for charity, unfortunately unlike skydiving (by the way we recommend SkyDive St Andrews) charity tandem flights are not permitted under UK airlaw this is reflected in the fact that the clubs founder flys the only paragliders that have UK aircraft registrations, international ICAO Callsign and is fully licensed to talk to ATC (using type approved licensed radio equipment) etc... etc.... More importantly at PPC we reject the practices & theories which have prevailed in paragliding, despite the many accidents, year in year out, that the sport has due to those errors. |
